Channel One Russia - Первый Канал

Channel One (Russian: Первый Канал; Russian pronunciation: [ˈpʲɛrvɨj kɐˈnɑl], virtually 1st Channel) is that the 1st TV channel to broadcast within the land. The channel replaced channel "Ostankino" that broadcast once The land stony-broke up in 1991 as a successor to the primary Channel of the central tv of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. Its headquarters ar within the Technical Center "Ostankino" close to the Ostankino Tower, Moscow.

First among the Russia's country-wide channels, Channel One has enforced 16:9 broadcast format on January four, 2011 to Gregorian calendar month one, 2011 and Oct ten, 2011 on satellite and digital cable broadcasting, and 14:9 on analogue broadcasting.
